Take Me Away

the saddle can take me
so many places
with only my horse and my mind
mother nature keeps me
surrounded by beauty
forces my heart to unwind
i feel as if i own
this land that i roam
or perhaps it owns me
the open fields
the unknown trails
there’s no better company
